Your royalty is paid out quarterly.
You will receive you royalties statement by e-mail about six weeks after the end of each quarter; it lists all your sales in detail.
Texts are accounted in the quarter in which they were published.
This also applies to the guaranteed one-time fee, your bonus for new authors and partner commissions.

Example
If you upload your paper on 03/27, select the guaranteed one-time fee option and the text is published on 04/07, the guaranteed one-time fee is credited for the second quarter. The settlement for the second quarter takes place in the middle of the third quarter, which is in August. Payment follows within the next 14 days.

If you upload your paper on 09/30, select the guaranteed one-time fee option and the text is published on 10/14., the guaranteed one-time fee is credited to the fourth quarter. The settlement for the fourth quarter takes place in the middle of the first quarter of the following year, which is in February. Payment follows within the next 14 days.
Since you were already registered with GRIN on 09/30 (date of your upload), you will also receive the statement for the third quarter noting that unfortunately no royalty accrued for you.
